U'Luvka was born from the love of people, place, tradition and vodka. Visiting Poland back in the 1990's, the distillers were struck by the Polish people's great hospitality and their traditional way of showing it. They loved the way they would receive a guest with vodka and the traditional victuals, following the ancient code of hospitality. And so began a love affair and a quest. They set out to travel Poland and discover the secrets of vodka by; its origins, history and lore. One of the stories that inspired the distillers was the story of the legendary alchemist Sendivogius who distilled a magical vodka for the court of King Sigsimund III.
